I am not sure were I stand on this one, I bought a ps3 console online from a cash converters based in slough. When the unit arived, there wasnt a lead for conection to a tv, I borrowed a lead and switched the unit on, the unit itself lit up but there was no signal on the tv screen. Other consoles I have operate on the same tv with no problem. I rang the store and they said they will post me the relent lead and to try with that one.I am waiting on that lead but i dont hold any hope becose the av lead I am using is the same. I am quite angry about this cost me £169 any advice?

The Sale of Goods Act applies to second hand goods as well. Here's the bbc website which states same: http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/x-ray/x_guid ... 12-1.shtml

You might also find advice at the Consumeractiongroup forums. Here's a thread that deals with a laptop, it might help or you could register and ask for others advice: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/fo ... lls-t.html

Good luck, hope you get your money back or at least a working replacement.

The unit more than likely needs resetting, as it's using a different connection or tv than the one it was set up on.

To do this, press and hold the power button, for about 5 seconds, when it is in standby, until it beeps twice
